Dear readers,
It is important for you to know that some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This means, at no additional cost to you, I will earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase.
Butteredveg.com is also a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Becoming an affiliate is one of the ways that I earn revenue from running Buttered Veg. It allows me to spend more time producing valuable free content for you, and expanding our services.
I am very proud of my product recommendations, as I believe they offer tremendous value to you.
I believe that how we spend our money matters, and if we are consuming the item, it is even more important to be a responsible shopper.
My recommendations represent a lifetime of living mindfully, and of paying attention to brands, labels, and brand promises.
Any product I link to, or recommend, is a product that I have either used, or would buy myself in an instant.
A Conscious Shopper
I started Buttered Veg to inspire and encourage you to prioritize cooking with whole foods, so that you could create a rewarding life of balance for yourself, just as I have.
Creating your life of balance naturally involves purchasing new things—from the foods you choose, to the implements you use for cooking—to your lifestyle choices, and the way you decorate your home.
I believe that when we care for our material things, and use them with respect, these things gain inherent virtue from the care that we put into them. So it matters what we choose.
In my view, brands have a responsibility to operate efficiently and compassionately in the world, and so I pay attention to who’s making the products, and how they are made.
I feel that products should deliver on quality at an affordable price. At the same time, I also appreciate when brands make an effort to go to the source, and compensate farmers and producers fairly.
Wouldn’t you prefer to buy from a family owned company that pours their hearts and souls into sourcing responsibly, and producing with the highest quality standards, and treating their workers with respect?
And for larger companies, doesn't it matter if they adhere to ethical guidelines, and if they provide quality products with good customer service?
My Promise
I can promise you that I will be paying attention, and that I can help you to become a more conscious shopper if you choose to follow my recommendations.
However, this is not a manifesto whereby I am investigating companies or holding them to a defined set of criteria.
I believe in balance, and of not stressing to the extreme.
What this means is that if you love something, or you want to try it, then you should!
If you have any questions regarding the above, please don’t hesitate to contact me by using the contact page located in the footer of this website.
Feel good, and live well!
